- purchase a used stock trailer
- plant 100 tree seedlings (50 hazelnut, 50 Honeylocust)
- plant some quick growing vegetables for summer consumption like lettuce, spinach, etc.
- plant 2000 sunflower seeds around the perimeter of the 28 acre piece of land
- build 3 x 144 sq.ft. bathroom structures
- build a 200 sq.ft. kitchen structure
- build a 200 sq.ft. farm store
- build two of the four 200 sq.ft. barns we will need
- add playhouse, slides, hammocks, sand box, picnic area and more to the children's playground
- construct a combination football/soccer/rugby field
If time and money permit, we would also purchase a 3000 gallon water tank, build 2 cob ovens, and put up a 2 1/4 acre fence around the barns. We pray that Allah enables us to complete these things and more.

But alas, my captain does not have the same interest in sustainable and off the grid living the way I do. Insha'allah as my boys get older maybe one of them can take me out there to partcipate in one of your future seminars insha'allah!

It's september 19 (for a few more hours, anyway) and I've totally been holding back to ask you how things went. DeleteMaashaa Allah, sister, you made me smile and laugh! Barak Allahu feekee! Actually, we had a problem in London and couldn't board our connecting flight to Jeddah, which resulted in the children and me having to stay in England with my mother until September 6th. I'll spare you the details, but suffice it to say that we got back to Madinah on Saturday, September 7th...just two weeks ago.
Things are still not in order here, but the good news is that last week I did start drafting a report on our summer, so I will try to get that finished and post it today bi idhn Illah ta'ala. I think if I do various posts to cover different subjects, I can get some information out faster inshaa Allah.
